Gamification as Part of TEFL. Bingo and Jeopardy.
Gamified learning is a teaching methodology that creates a game-like scenario around the course curriculum and the objectives of the course.
The purpose of these game systems is to promote student engagement and motivate students to participate in the course activities.
Another teacher-training event at Seleng Studio revealed various ways to use traditional Bingo and Jeopardy games in teaching English. The workshop turned to be very practical and gave ideas of how to use those games while icebreaking, warming up, presenting, practicing, eliciting and even testing.
It had been obviously enjoyed by both the presenter and participants. Hope our students will enjoy them as well!
